Hiyaa guys! Welcome back to my first blog post after my long break and happy December first! I’ve been so busy but since it’s holidays coming up, I’m hoping to write more. Since it’s now Christmas and a big part of that is food and yummy treats, I’m going to be sharing one of my fav things; Christmas tree brownies!
I’m a big baker and have been baking for agesss and even though I love challenging myself to bake bigger and more difficult recipes, there’s nothing better than an easy recipe for the busiest time of the year. It’s super easy, especially if you need to quickly do it the night before an event or even the morning of the day. It’s also super quick and easy for people who struggle to bake. If anyone recreates it, please tag me in your pics so I can look at how beautiful they all are! 😍
⁃ 125g unsalted butter
⁃ 125g dark chocolate, chopped (I just add a few chocolate chips most of the time but this is optional!)
⁃ 3 eggs, lightly whisked
⁃ 335g (1 1/2 cups) white sugar
⁃ 115g (3/4 cups) plain flour
⁃ 30g (1/4 cup) cocoa powder
⁃ 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Bake for approximately 15-20 mins at 180 degrees Celsius. Take them out sooner if you prefer them more gooey like me!
These brownies generally opt to be more cakey like, so I usually reduce the amount of flour. This gives them a more gooey taste which I love, so I guess it really depends how you like them!
If you do happen to make them, another great way is to use a Greens or Betty Crocker’s brownie mix which will save time and tastes just as good.
